To set up and configure ZWSOFT ZWCAD (historically associated with utility tools and network license installations located in the ZWSOFT directory), you need to install the software package, configure the Network License Manager, and activate your product keys.
Below is the step-by-step procedure to deploy the server-side license environment and connect your client workstations. Step 1: Install the Network License Manager Launch the ZWCAD installation wizard package.
Progress through the menu prompts until you see the feature selection options. Check the box for Network License Manager.
Click Install and wait for the extraction process to complete. Step 2: Request and Verify Your Soft-Key License
Open the newly installed Network License Manager program on your host machine. Choose the Soft-Key Activation pathway.
Fill in your formal product license code and define the exact quantity of client seats to allocate.
Click Verify to validate the credentials against the activation server.
Complete the form with your required user registration details and click Activate. Step 3: Configure the Network Daemon Services Open the system’s LMTOOLS management utility. Navigate directly to the Config Services tab.
Map the service parameters by browsing to the paths for your executable files and the newly generated license file (typically located in the path C:\Program Files\ZWSOFT... or your designated installation directory). Click Save Service to lock in the paths.
Head over to the Start/Stop/Reread tab and click Start Server to put the license daemon online. Step 4: Configure Client-Side Workstations
Complete a standard local software installation of the workstation application on the user’s computer.
Launch the software on the client machine to bring up the activation screen.
Select Request Floating License if your clients will constantly stay tied to the office network.
Select Borrowed License if you have mobile field workers who need to pull down an offline license voucher temporarily.
Provide the static IP address or hostname of your primary license server to finish linking the systems.
